BENEFITS AND MEMORIAL (BAM) PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO) AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
The Benefits and Memorials Services (BAM) Portfolio supports the delivery of critical Veteran benefits and services through management of the information technology (IT) infrastructure and major software development efforts that support the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA), and National Cemetery Administration (NCA).
PSI provides strategic planning and requirements management, particularly in implementing the PACT Act’s 701b IT Modernization Plan, ensuring traceability from release-level features to strategic goals. We manage communications and data requests for BAM Portfolio leadership, multi-year budget planning, budget deviations, and execute around 650 acquisition packages annually. We deliver Agile coaching, assessed Product Line maturity, and provide Jira development expertise to align Portfolio objectives with Product Lines. Additionally, we oversee security documentation for BAM systems to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO), offering expert technical advice on system architectures to lead business process improvements and standardization.
Customer Office: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
Provides administrative, logistical, and technical services to the BAM Portfolio, one of three major software development organizations with VA OIT’s Software Product Management division.
Supports 100+ products and systems across seven BAM Product Lines, each of which aligns to a different business line for the Veterans Benefits Administration and National Cemetery Administration
