Platform Optimizing SynBio for Early Intervention and Detection in Oncology (POSEIDON)

Overview

Planned Systems International (PSI) is proud to announce its selection as a member of a groundbreaking research consortium, led by Owlstone Medical, the global leader in Breath Biopsy® for applications in early disease detection and precision medicine. Together, this world-class team has been awarded a major contract by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Platform Optimizing SynBio for Early Intervention and Detection in Oncology (POSEIDON) program.

The program’s goal is bold yet vital: to develop a revolutionary Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) device capable of detecting more than 30 solid tumors at Stage I, the point when treatment outcomes are most effective. PSI joins esteemed partners including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston University, Georgia Tech Research Corporation, and Qurin B.V. in advancing this life-saving program.

As part of Owlstone Medical’s POSEIDON consortium, PSI will provide the technology backbone that connects this future cancer detection device to patients and providers. Leveraging Cyfluent®, PSI’s cloud-native, lightweight electronic health record (EHR) platform with a companion mobile app, PSI will enable patient engagement, provider cancer testing services, telehealth, diagnostic functions, and seamless EHR integration. PSI technology and training content will make this breakthrough not only innovative but also practical, scalable, and accessible to patients and providers across the nation.
